Judge Estes is a former Deputy District Attorney and also worked as a private civil litigator. He was elected to the bench in 2000 where he presided over adult criminal proceedings. He became a juvenile court judge in 2002. Judge Estes has a bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University, a Masters of Social Work from Tulane, and a law degree from Pepperdine.

Referee Loo was was appointed as a Superior Court Referee in 2000. She is a graduate of University of Southern California Law School. Prior to taking the bench she worked as an attorney for the Children’s Law Center of Los Angeles where she represented children in juvenile dependency matters. Before taking the bench at Eastlake, Referee Loo spent three years a Referee at the Compton Courthouse.
Dept. 202 – Judge Robin Miller Sloan
Judge Sloan is a third generation Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge. Her father and grandfather were both Los Angeles judges, her grandfather was also a famed civil rights attorney during the 1950s and 1960s. Judge Sloan is a former prosecutor for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office and a former Deputy Attorney General for the State of California.

A Court Commissioner since 1997, Commissioner Totten spent 10 years on the bench at Sylmar Juvenile Court where he started Los Angeles County’s first juvenile drug court, focusing on innovative treatment options for minors struggling with substance abuse. Commissioner Totten transferred to Eastlake in 2007. Before taking the bench, Commissioner Totten worked as an attorney in private practice. He is a graduate of Loyola Law School.

A juvenile court Referee since 2006, prior to that Ref. Zebberman was an attorney in private practice in the San Fernando Valley. He graduated from the San Fernando Valley College of Law.

From 1986 until 2000, Judge Brown was a Commissioner of the Compton Court. Judge Brown became a Superior Court Judge in 2000. Prior to her judicial career, Judge Brown was an attorney in private practice. Judge Brown holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola Marymount University and a law degree from Loyola Law School.

After 20 year career as a deputy public defender in the Los Angeles public defender’s office, Judge Lawson was appointed as a court commissioner in 2007. He was appointed as a judge in 2009.

Judge Andrews has been judge since 1993 when she was an administrative law judge. Since that time and before her transfer to the juvenile delnquencey court, she has served as a judge in the Long Beach municipal court and and as a judge in the Edleman Children’s court.

Department 252 – Judge Philip K Mautino
After 26 years as a civil attorney in private practice, Judge Mautino first took the bench as a municipal court judge in Los Cerritos. In 2000 he was appointed as a Judge to the Superior Court and was assigned to Los Padrinos in 2001. Judge Mautino was one of the founding attorneys for Habitat for Humanity.

Before beginning her judicial career, Judge Groman worked as a juvenile dependency attorney both in public service and in private practice. Judge Rochman was appointed to the Superior Court by Governor Dukmejian in 1986. From 1960 until 1971, Judge Rochman was a Deputy Public Defender for Los Angeles County.
