Pasadena Courthouse

Located in the Northeast District, this courthouse is a venue for all cases from minor infractions to major violent crimes. With 16 judges and three commissioners, the court is able to keep up with its case load and delays are uncommon. In order to keep proceedings running safely, smoothly and in proper decorum, all defendants and visitors are expected to follow the building rules:

  • Turn off all pagers and cell phones
  • No food or drinks in the courtroom
  • No tank tops or T-shirts in the courtroom
  • No firearms or weapons in the courthouse

The courthouse is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for holidays. The bail window is open 8:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday and 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. It is recommended you plan to arrive at the window at least 30 minutes before your appointed time to avoid possible delays in the security line at the front door. If you are late, your bail case will not be heard.

A parking structure at the southeast corner of Marengo Ave. and Walnut St. has ample space for courthouse visitors. The initial 20 minutes is $2.00, 40 minutes is $4.00 and anything over 40 minutes is $6.00. Parking after 4 p.m. is $3.00. Due to low clearance in the structure, large trucks and SUVs may need to use alternate parking lots.
